cylinder head swap

I've got a 99 4.0 cherokee with a locked motor, is a 1994 cherokee long block the same or are they differant?
I know the coolant temp sensor and thermostat cover & timing cover is differant, any thing else i need to know? cyl head & block seems identical

Why do you want to replace a head on an engine that is locked up?

This is the very first thing I thought. Replacing the head isn't going to help a locked up engine.

You guys are funny, OK the motor is locked, i have a 94 4.0 cherokee motor (longblock) thats a good builder soo the plan is to rebuild the 94 motor (longblock) and put it into the 99 cherokee.
i hope that makes all your concerns go away
I just want to know they are the same exact motor, yes longblock
