If you look back in the earlier posts, a reference was made to GM Vortec 4.2L in the TrailBlazers/ H3s. That motor is a DOHC, 24V motor with variable exhaust valve timing. I am fully aware of the fact that AMC had a 4.2L. Again, apples to oranges comparison.

Coming from a guy who owns and wheels both: the v6 has more power overall, but the I6 will last 10 years longer. My current woods project (95 XJ) has 200k and is all original, my weekend warrior (07 KJ) has 65k and needs a valvetrain rebuild.
