Did you replace the switch? Is it adjusted correctly? ( I think that year is still adjustable?)

The aftermarket brake switches are crap. I've gone through 3 of them (shame on me) before buying an OEM one again. The plunger can be pulled out (ie: unstuck) but it's only a matter of time before it gets stuck again and kills your battery if you aren't careful.

I even tried greasing the last parts house one with some dielectric grease and it still got stuck regularly.

I'm trying to adjust my brake light switch, and i tried pulling on the plunger. How much force will do? How far out does it go? I feel like i might ruin it. Thx

Full extension is about 1/2" on the plunger. It can take a surprising amount of force to get the plunger unstuck.

FYI the OEM switch is only $18 to replace it (last I looked about 6 months ago)
