Today i was looking through my computer and discovered a whole bunch of pictures i never knew i had, a lot of which were from the milo's younger days under my ownership. Since i don't have anything better to do, and nothing else cool to post for a while, here ya go haha
Engine tear down:
I can't believe how greasy the engine use to be....
Oh and if you direct your attention to the power steering pump you will notice an abnormally large cap... yes. That would be a gas tank cap. Inventive Previous owner huh... haha

Yeah..... The engine was in bad shape, and its not like it wasn't obvious by the ridiculous amount of oil that coated EVERYTHING. But somehow i was brainwashed by the excitement of purchasing my first vehicle that i bought this crazy thing anyway. If i only knew what i was getting myself in to haha
Pre Lift... Stock.... Hard to believe i once had a jeep that looked like this, it seems like such a long time ago i was cruising on my sagging springs and monstrous 235's.

Installing the lift. Front

Then installing Rear, which was a royal pain btw.

Woo Hoo.... Lifted Cherokee on Stock tires! Wanna know the best part? I drove it like this for almost 2 years
... Haha

They should have a Warning label on all jeeps that says "Warning, purchase of this vehicle may result in continually reduced funds, as they are addictive in nature" haha

Wow man that motor most def looked like it was in bad shape! Mine looked the same way (covered in grease and all rusted on the surface).
Then after alot of work you can make it look like this!

What a great build. Thank you for the time you have put into chronicling the progress of it. I am currently deployed and have spent the last 2 days reading and learning from your build. My plan is to purchase an XJ upon return and let the build begin. I previously owned a 2dr JK. Great platform if you ever get into one, but little warning, parts are pretty pricey, and not readily available in a JY yet. Ultimately is what forced me to trade it in, was TOO trail capable, I know sounds hard to believe, and not nearly as streetable when I sold it. I just couldn't afford to make payments on a DD that I loved to abuse as a toy. Definately glad you were able to keep MILO, I never planned on selling my JK, was one of the hardest things I did. Oh well, as you would say, I'm Over It.

Hey I'm not sure if anyone answered this but on page I think 17 when you busted your shock out wheeling and someone brought up your brakes I think it's because it's not bolted to the axle like they should be so they can breath but just a heads up

Also I forgot to tell you great looking jeep you've inspired me to build my jeep up the same way and it sucks that you have to sell it honestly it's like lossing a loved one I know I lost my first Cherokee because of a cam :/ but I have another and I learned from my first so now I know how to build this one up the right way no half assing it but best of luck and one day I hope to see another build by you maybe Milo #2
hey, man nice setup, great job on your car.
i am thinking of buying one of those ion rims vs Cragar steel wheels but i am afraid because of the backspacing since it is only 3.5 did it rub when you had the stock flares.
and which size do you have is it 15x8
