Im looking to put on lift kit and run 33's. Ive come down to three companies that are affordable for me; the Zone 4-1/2", Rough Country 4-1/2", or the IRO 4" kit. What kit should I go with? And should I get an AAL kit or full leaf packs?

I'm not a mechanic beginner but this was my my first lift kit install and I can't see doing an AAL. I had enough work with new full packs.

AALs are easier to install than full packs...

There could be different types but what I've seen is:

- Take the stock leaf pack to the bench.
- Remove the center pin and possibly multiple straps. Sometimes required to be drilled out.
- Add new leaf somewhere in the middle between stock leafs.
- Add new center pin and straps.

This doesn't sound easier.

Why do you have to take the stock pack off the Jeep?

Drop the axle, remove the center pin, install AAL above overload spring (Second from the bottom), Reinstall center pin and reinstall axle. Done. And you never had to remove the stock spring from the Jeep.

I don't know about that, but installing an AAL is pretty darn easy.

Ill probably just go with an AAL because of cost. Does anyone have an opinion though on what company is better between Zone, Rough Country, and Iron Rock Offroad?

RC is bottom of that list. Zone is made by BDS, but doesn't carry their warranty. I'm partial toward IRO because the people are great, and the prices aren't bad. I just won't get their long-arm setup cause I've read too many complaints about the design.

Agreed zone and iro are both a step up from RC.

Would removing the sway bars, causing more body roll, increase wear on the shocks or anything? I feel like since i've had it removed that the front end has gotten a lot more soft. Would this be the springs settling in after 5 months or the shocks getting weaker? Both are the same age

Yes you will have a lot more body roll with out sway bar. I don't think it's going to wear out any components significantly faster though.
