@okcjeeper. I asked about shims or a 1 inch t case drop for my 3.5 inch lift kit and bilsteins. I just read what you said about your 3.5 RE kit actually sitting at about 4.5. My kit is an RE kit too so having it sitting at 4.5 would a 1 inch t case drop still be ok?

Thinking about down grading to 31s with 4.5 inch lift any pics of xjs with 31s?

thanks for the input!
RE doesn't come with shocks. I would check out the 3" rough country and 3" zone kits. You will get a discount for being a forum members. If you want good flex then things to add on to the kit would be either new brake lines or brake line relocation brackets, sway bar quick releases, new lower control arms, maybe a new track bar, and you will probably want to get full leaf packs as they will flex better.

hello everyone, here is a very serious question...

i recently bought a new 4.5'' rought country lift kit it includes...
1)lower control arms and assembly
2)coil springs
3)shocks and assembly
4)add a leaf and assembly
5)shackles and assembly
6)brake line extension and assembly
7)and other stuff

then i went ahead and bought me some upper control arms a steering stabilizer and a new trac bar

well i went to take everything off cleaned up the jeep as i went, well when i went to put everything back on well....haha heres the thing

MY AXLE TILTED!!!!

and i cant get it to tilt back so i can connect my upper control arms..their about 2'' off from the holes...and i have everything on but them...

please someone tell me what i need to do to tilt it back...

ive tried to use the floor jack and jack it up from the front of the axle, no luck....

I pit the tops on first then used a jack under the pinion end of the diff to rotate the axle to get the lowers on.

Try to use a ratchet strap to rotate the axle, maybe hook it to your rear axle and through one of the holes where the Uncas mount, or take it back apart and install the uppers first as that is the easier way.

The newer xjs tend to get vibes more than the older ones. You will probably be fine with a tcase drop. There's no way of knowing until it's lifted.

I did 3.5" on my '01 and it didn't need anything, but I think she was just being nice cause she gave me trouble with everything else I ever tried to do.
