Default The popping is the u joint hub

The popping noise when i make a right turn is my u-joint hub on the front passenger side wheel..The popping is not that bad yet and the hub is not real loose yet so that gives me a little bit of time to
get it fixed. I have heard that it is a pain in the butt to fix it..

if it is your axle u-joint, you should have a bit of time if it just started.
but if it's your wheel bearing hub assembly, it won't be long and can be very dangerous if it lets loose. better get that done soon.

The hub bearing ***. and front axle shaft u-joints aren't too bad.
I'm just a shade tree hack and had 'er done, both sides, both u-joints and hub bearings ***. , in an afternoon.

I have heard that if the axle shaft u-joint comes apart it can wreak havoc with the yokes and/or axle tubes.

Don't skimp with the money you spend. The Timpken(sp) bearing ***. are made in USA and will probably last you longer than the "*****-mex" manufactured units.

Same with the u-joints. I understand the seals and other components are better built in the more expensive replacement parts.

"expensive" is a moot, as there isn't that much difference in the cost between "cheap" and "better" at your local auto-joke/slow'rielys part stores. when buying these components. I'm just old schhol and believe you should spend your money on the best you can afford.

after posting I noticed the "profanity police" had ***'d my post. I wasn't being profane, but, simply abbreviating "assembly" with the first 3 letters of the word !! LOL !! Who would of thought ??
