I just got a 1990 cherokee limited. automatic tranny. when i put it in gear sometimes it dies. oil is leaking from the valve cover and oil pan gaskets. its constantly losing power. its getting worse and worse. i ran a compression check and goes as follows.
Cyl. 1-50psi
2-65
3-50
4-65
5-60
6-50
I took the valve cover off and there is about a half inch of buildup. I dont have a lot of funds right now and im just curios what u guys think the problems would be. I dont know a whole lot about working on cars but i do ok using the book. The vacuum lines are a mess 2. Im just worried about the low compression. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
