Thats better.. This is with two coats of rust inhibitor spray. I did a final couple coats with Rustoleum. It helped bring the glossiness down a bit. Preferable. :D

The flex plate before cleaning. Pretty well covered, but scraping, brake cleaner, a wire hand brush and a quick wipe down was all it took.

The flex plate.. This was after cleaning it. Damn Vermont rust, man. Didn't feel like trying to get it any cleaner so this was the end product.

Before I tore into it. Lots of spray cans, mostly degreaser and black paint.

Tried the paint on the center console armrest. Not too noticeably different, but it makes me want to do the whole interior. I used the flat black, so I'm sure the gloss is more noticeable. As the can states there "hot colors" to choose from..

These are floor matts that serve as tactical heat and sound barriers till I get off my ass and actually put my chassis saver on the floor. This is three light-medium coats. It was windy so they dried really fast. I did them in like 10 minutes.

Then I decided to try something new- painting the carpets, or whats left of the carpets.. This stuff works well.

Looks a bit better than before. Really made me realise just how faded/chipped/scratched the paint really is..

Overall view. Used some satin clear coat and tried to help blend the tape line a bit.

Half way through painting the drivers side a discovered some thin sheet metal. It was slowly dripping, so I drilled a couple bleeder holes to expedite the process.

Passenger side complete. You can see the tape line, but hopefully I'll just paint the whole thing and it wont be an issue.

I dont know why I waited so long to drill the rivets and get rid of the hangars. probably would have helped cut down on rust..
