Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
I purchased my XJ in 2005. It was bone stock and in immaculate condition. It just had high miles (185K) and reaked of cigarette smoke.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Engine: 4.0 litre HO, DIY cold air intake with Spectre cone filter. 2.5" exhaust with FM super 40 muffler, CFS three core radiator. Transmission: AW-4 auto tranny with DIY first gear lock switch. Transfer Case: NP231 with AA SYE and rear DS is front DS out of a 95 V-8 auto tranny ZJ. Front Axle: DIY Super D30 trussed, gusseted, 4.56 gears, Aussie locker, 95 XJ ABS axle shafts with 297X Duralast Gold knuckle U-joints, XFR Ball joints, 95 ZJ V-8 tierod. RC sway bar quick disconnect links. RC diff. cover guard. DIY hockey puck lower bump stops. Rear Axle: D44 out of 87 XJ police vehicle. 4.56 gears. Aussie locker. Parking brake link delete. Bad Apple Fabrication diff. cover guard.
Suspension Modifications:
Rusty's Off Road 4.5" coils, leafs, shocks, braided steel extended brake hoses, HD trac bar with HD dropped trac bar upper mount. RC X-flex adjustable control arms. Daystar 1 3/4" spacers, 1 1/2" extended shackles. Extended front bump stops.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
1 1/2" wheel spacers so stock 10 hole aluminum rims work with 33"x12.50"x15" Maxxis Bighorn mud tires.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
91 XJ Laredo front seats. Sony X-plode stereo system. Cobra 40 channel CB with 3' Firestick II antenna. Rear tire carrier and class 3 tow hitch from 89 XJ, ORF front winch bumper and rear quarter panel guards. JCR Off Road rock sliders and belly skid plate. Gas tank slid plate from 87 XJ police vehicle. Smittybilt XRC8000 winch with aluminum hause fairlead and Pro Mark synthetic wich rope.
Future Modifications:
35" Maxxis Bighorn or 36" Interco Super swamper IROK tires. 17"x8" beedlock rims (cheapest I can find). RC control arm drop brackets, 6.5" coils, shackle re-location brackets. Shocks the correct length for a true 7-8" XJ lift.
