These pickup shocks are kyb monomax and definitely valved stiffer than cheap jeep shocks. Fairly simple bolt on with minor welding.

With winch bumper rear bumper and 2x8x3/16 sliders its sitting at about 1.5" of lift. Factory 89 Cherokee front bump stoos work just about perfect. Monomax shocks feel pretty good at higher speeds and much more stable going slow.

Notice bumpstop and shock bottom out length are the same. I do think i need to extend bumpstop about a 1/2" to hit slighty before shock bottoms

A open diffed anything in my opion isnt all any owner cracks it upped to be. And trust me ive been stuck plenty of times with the only two tires getting power barried in mud or snow or wedged ahaisnt a rock or tree.
Sometimes feathering on brakes will put a load on free spinning tires and send some power to side thats still got some traction.

Heres my home brewed auto locker. This 8s my 8.25 i think. So far ive welded 2 corporate 10 bolts a dana35 dana60 14ff and i think thats it.
Ive not found the need to run a locker in front yet putn the power down to both rears all the time improves everything 9ff rd. On rd i do cringe at times as mud tires hook pretty hard on asphalt thats soakn in 100 plus temps.

On a rig that drives offroad 1% of time it may be cheaper to run 9000lb engo winch instead of installing lockers

I went 2x8x3/16 i cut out good rust free rockers.
Good spot to stand to get to a roof rack, shopping cart protection door dings, fender benders. I dont think you have to be a hardcore rock grinder to see benefits from rocker up grades

Doing rockers has been one of my best mods. Ive found im constantly draging them in dirt or on a rock or tree im no hard core rock crawler either just a mild trail runner that drive around most hard stuff because theres 20 hard miles of trail left to get back home.

Heres my factory pack factory shackles. Pack is conglomeration of xj springs and chevy truck springs cut to length.
I spent a day doing trial and error to get them to support my load of tools. And camping gear.
One of these days i plan to cut off the spring pads and fab taller spring pads to do away with the 3" blocks

This its whats inside probly cant be identified either lol.
I would have liked to weld 1/4" plate make the carrier span its load better side to side. Thats what i did on 14ff. You cant on c clip axle have to be able to get clips out.

These welds are with 035 flux core wire burning pretty good out of a hobart 180.
Have to be careful where how much and when you weld or youl just be cracking the last weld.
Cast steel is alot more forgiving than cast iron.

My dana 35 currently under my rig is the
