I have a 2000 grand cherokee laredo with the 4.7L chystler engine and the transmission is starting to go bad, so i was looking at grabbing a bunch of parts from a silimal year dodge dakota to manual swap it. One opf the only issues would be the driveshaft, seeing as the manual is shorter the driveshaft would be longer and i was wondering if anyone knew aproxamatly how long it would be and if it would be possible to get

 

No big deal, dshaft can be modified (shorter or longer, I have done both.)

 

The driveshaft would be the least of my worries, easily modified by a shop. What clutch and brake pedal assembly are you going to use?

 

i was planning on pulling the transmission, clutch petal, brake petals, and all the linkage and stuff including the ecu from a dodge dakota (2000-2007) that has the exact same Chrysler engine
