Can anyone identify this metallic scraping noise?
Sound in question
This happens when it shifts from 1st to 2nd(automatic transmission)
checked driveshafts and ujoints as well as transmission fluid all look good

Awesome suggestion! I didn't think to check that. I'll go out in a bit here and check it out. BTW not that I'm questioning, you guys have been awesome to me and the knowledge i gained here has been paramount, just a legit question but would the noise happen all the time if it was the dust shield? I only notice the noise just as I'm about to shift into 2nd like when the rpms are at their peak. Once it shifts and the rpms drop, no more chatter until it gets up again. Again thank you for that suggestion It totally flew past me to even think about that. Will go out shortly and update

Just depends, if it was bent over and rubbing something sure, however if it was really close, or loose, or resonated just right at a particular speed / engine RPM, etc that caused vibrations just right. It could The other thing to check when you're in there is the hub bearings, I've had these fail on my wife's subie and only made noise at certain speeds, sometimes.
