I am planning to buy my friends 2005 Cherokee Laredo. The suspension on the front is completely shot where both left and right front bottoms out at the slightest pot hole. I mean shocks are done, but springs may have even collapsed. Back are ok but I am planning to replace them as well.
Vehicle has 140k miles on it, use case is to install a Class 3 Hitch, and carry a dirt bike in the back with a hitch mounted motorcycle hauler.
Concerns : I expect the back to sag down after I load a 70lb carrier and a 320lb dirt bike right at the hitch. I could also use more ground clearance and tighter suspension since I will be driving on fireroads.
Given that I need suspension on all 4 corners of this vehicle, and will be carrying a 400lb tongue load on a class 3 hitch and be driving on fireroads with rocks and ditches, what type of suspension replacement would be best?
I have seen these $100 per corner billstein stuff https://www.carparts.com/shock-absor...86797?&vehicle[model]=Grand%20Cherokee&vehicle[make]=Jeep&vehicle[year]=2005 and am wondering if they would work better for me than the cheap true drive and Monroe stuff? Is there anyway I can gain some additional clearance at the time of this front strut and rear shock change?
Additional piece of information : I'll be getting 245/70/17 KO2 tires as well.
Thanks for help.

Monroe Load Adjusting Rear Shocks #58646
Helps with spring over the shock body to carry loads (like400lbs).
Also great dampening and longevity of the shock itself.
Have used with xcelent results on XJ and ZJ
