I am away from the jeep but from the pictures and memory the 3 remaining wires are solid red, brown with red stripe, and brown with yellow stripe... I'm assuming this may be a tow hitch wiring access point for jeeps with a tow option? But not sure where each wire goes

I cannot say for certain that is what it is so hopefully someone with a '99 chimes in for you, good luck and glad you got it driveable. That 12 volt link says the red wire with white tracer might be a 12vdc switched and the others are speakers one front and one rear. Your picture has a white tracer on the red wire. It is probably an accessory but I can't say for sure, good luck.

Although all the lights are functional I must have a bad ground somewhere??? When I hit the brakes my odometer and radio light dim? But when the headlights are on the lights stay illumonated. Can it be a bad ground to the dash? Or related to the wires in the cargo area? If anyone has any advice where to start please help me out. Thanks

Also forgot to mention I was messing around in the knee panel thinking the problem was the Flasher relay.....
