Default Reverse Alarm

Hi I have a used 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Previously it was owned by a police officer so it was used a police car. THe car itself is great, however when I put it into reverse there is a very loud alarm that goes off, like a safety feature and I was wondering how I could disable or remove this?

Thanks

Find the alarm and cut the wires. Pretty simple fix

Easiest is to cut the wires to the device MAKING the noise, then nothing breaks.

Most times the alarm is in the reverse light. Instead of a Light bulb, there is an alarm that plugs into the light socket. Just pull it out and put a bulb back in.
