Default Radio not working

My 2001 Cherokee oem radio is not working. 3 weeks ago, I re-wired the wiring harness, since there was an aftermarket radio installed. The radio was replaced with a Chrysler oem cd/cassette combo. It worked fine for 3 weeks, but today when I turned the key, the radio tried to eject a cd ( there was no cd in the player) and the Eq lights flicked on for just a second. When you pull the headlight switch the radio illumination works, but the display nor any of the radio functions work. Sorry for the long post, but can anyone help me figure out what's wrong with the radio/ wiring.

More than likely a logic issue, it's probably toast unless you are good with component level diagnosis. Have you tried inserting and playing a CD?

No, I have not tried that. So the problem with the radio is as straight- cut as that.

I believe your diagnosis is correct. Upon testing the wiring harness with a multimeter, I found the 12 volt constant to read 12.01-12.03 volts DC, and the accessory/run position 12 volt plug to have 11.98-12.02 volts DC. Therefore, if the radio is getting power through the wiring harness, the problem is in the radio itself. The only thing left to do now is to see if I am able to return it to the eBay seller, since I believe there is a warranty on the radio. Thank you for your help.
