Default Driver's Window not working.

The swtich on my 1998 Jeep Cherokee is not working for the driver's window. It went out a few weeks ago then after messing with it for a few days it finally started to work. Then as of a few days ago, it stopped working. All the other switches work for the other windows, just not the driver's window. Anyone have any suggestions on what the problem is?

could be the motor itself or it could be the switch. I've never done it but I wonder if you can test the motor by putting 12v directly to it? maybe someone else can give you guidance on that......also the switch can go bad, and you can solder it to fix that problem.
