Not a whole lot of info on this.... Just electric locks info. Nor is there a lot of info on installing lock actuators and a switch to make it electric locks. Anyone have experience with either one of these?

It was installed by the PO but in the '96 XJ I used to own it was just a remote start. Jeep had manual locks so it can be done.
Thinking about it now I never really noticed on the remote if there was a lock/unlock button on it. LOL.
Betting there was though.

The remote start is a completely separate system from the door locks, after market remote starts will work with manual or auto locks.

Ok I wasn't sure if the system needed to have elec. locks signal when the Jeep started so the doors can lock....

Nope. The starting system doesn't care if the doors are locked, unlocked, or even wide open or sitting in a pile in your garage.

If you want to add electric door locks, that's also doable, and yes, they could be tied into a remote start. Or not.

Youse gots choices!

Well, as long as you have time and money, you have choices.
