I like the look of that, it's not too high up but it's high enough to get good signal, thanks!

Mine is a 3" firestick II. I think it is the perfect height. Sorry... only pic I have on my phone at the moment. (slid about 1/4 of a mile down the mountain uncontrollably and landed there lol)

Ill tell ya too- I mounted my CB on the roof between the two visors with a cheap bracket I made. It took almost EXACTLY 12' of CB cable running it up the back, along the side in the top plastic piece. I know people say you need 18' of cable but after talking to my buddy who tunes them and reading this: http://www.stu-offroad.com/misc/myth-1.htm I determined it to be just a myth. I'll find out when I finally do get it tuned. I just know that more often then not in electronics, the least amount of cable (resistance) the better. I don't see why a CB would be different. I didnt want 6' of coiled cable somewhere in my jeep lol

Yes there are well founded electronics and antenna theory that prove this wrong.

Coax length in ft. means nothing in this case it is electrical length if you can grasp that. Your myth on length means many of my antennas must not work as 5 or 6 of the longer ones at home are over 300" long.

Facts trump BS myths always.
