New to the mj scene need help axle swap

Default New to the mj scene need help axle swap

So i have a mj im wanting to do a spring over axle swap but im also wanting to put in a 8.25.
i know i have to weld up new perches but how does this all play into the spring over axle swap? Any help is gratley appreciated.

Took me 2 years to get my xj back on the road. Hoping the mj is a little quicker return.

pretty simple. cut the old perches off the 8.25, set them on the axle, clamp the springs down loosly on to the perches in the vehicle. set your pinion angle. tack the perches to the tube. drop axle, weld perches on, re-install. bolt driveline and brakes on....drive away.

you will need to address the shock mounts as well.

Thanks guys. I got the new perches welded on and welded shock mounts on as well. Should be good to go on that. Now the next off days the bed will be getting cut down to size.

broken leaf spring(s)? why does the tire look like its pushed into the front of the wheelwell?
