It made it on the farm back and forth on the interstate everyday pulled trailers with it we put it threw enough abuse to where i wouldn't worry about 37's or 38's on a daily bases and i know there's a difference between mall truck and trail truck. This is was an everything truck just like the Comanche will be. What's the point of building a truck that only has one purpose this just my opinion i mean if you have the money to do that more power to ya but for me they must be able to perform day in day out with question

Driving in a field and rock crawling are two very different things, but I guess some people's definition of "wheeling" is different than others...

The issue isn't the unit bearing, its the 2 piece vacuum disconnect axle shaft.

i say build it and if it breaks swap in another axle those axles are common and could prolly find another in the junk yard pretty easy, maybe im wrong. I have different opinions on tire size and axle combos its like every one else says if you are doing some rock crawling and doing burnouts on the pavement with 37s it prolly will break easily, if you dont do burnouts and dont rock crawl with it prolly wont have any problems. Probably half the trucks out there that are 1/2 ton and huge lifts and big tires dont have any upgrades to the axles

I understand everyones concern for the front but its no different than the old d30 that i ran for almost 3 years on 35's before changing it out for the new model d30

I think a 318 would be bad ***... the magnum motor makes great power. Now for the front 30, I have an 88 mj with a 4.6 stroker with the disco axle in it w 488 gears and 37" stickies w beadlocks. I built a custom truss and gusseted the hell out of the c's and have never had a problem except breaking a shafts at the joint once in a while but I run the stock shafts cuse there cheap, plentiful and I can change it out on the trail in 10 to 15 minutes ... I also swapped out the 2 piece shafts for a 1 piece shady with the larger joints. If you wheel it hard be ready to change out the ball joints every 2 years....
