Yes. You must use both master cylinder and booster as a unit.

The booster rod needs to be drilled out to accept our bushing, and have a flat ground on it like our old boosters had.

Cool thanks.
I'll be picking mine up in the next couple weeks and post up how it does.

I wish, I haven't even started!
Works held me from the jeep all week. My only day off is tomorrow so hopefully I'll get a chance to work on it

Just busting your chops. I've done 2 so far, and have another to do. I used 96 on one and a WJ on another.

Dang it I can't win:( I'm gonna have to get those stupid 3rd brake lights on the new kias that flash for 2 sec when you initially hit the brakes....
Or I could just not worry about it for the fact that I have a 70lb rear bumper lol

WJ easier and more readily available. Flexible lines nice, and you don't have to move your washer reservoir. Also, the mounting studs are smaller on the WJ and it's easier to get through the firewall.

But, you need to give the firewall lip a few "love taps".

So I've started on the booster swap. Got the brake light switch on the end of the push rod and flushed the master cylinder.
Got the thing mounted but the push rod hole needs to come down an inch or so to match up with the brake pedal hole.
I'll probably put washers on the bottom two studs to push it down a bit

Huh? Do you have the aluminum spacer behind the booster?

You're using WJ?

Firewall seam mod. Beat or cut.

Yeah, 2002 wj.
I don't think mine hot that spot...?
Maybe it is though, I'm at work now so I can't check.
I've heard on the other booster upgrade threads you need a 1/4 inch spacer so I may just stack some washers in front of the fire wall

If you do that with a WJ booster your brake pedal will be waaaaaay low.

Man up and beat or cut. You've got the photo. That's MY Jeep.
