So I have an 89 mj with a high output 92 motor and a ax15 out of a 94 wrangler with te external slave.

So yesterday I was driving and as soon as I pulled it out of 1st gear into neutral there was a huge bang and then if I was in gear and let out the clutch it would just bog the whole motor down

Also if I turn the jeep off and roll I can put it in any gear without using the clutch, but if the motor Is running I have to use the clutch pedal to get it in gear

If the car is off and in gear it will just roll unless I engage 4wd

I'm have a 29 spline chryco 8.25 with locker and 456 as well

Nothing looks like it's leaking or loose

Does anybody have any idea??

 

Well in any manual transmission you can put it in gear with the engine off without the clutch....
When you say you roll with the engine off and throw it into gear does the truck stop at all? Or keep rolling? And what gear are you throwing it into?

 

Yes while I am rolling at any spend with motor off I can put it in any gear including reverse without te clutch and nothing happens

 

What happen if you do this in 4x4 ?

 

Your saying if you put it in gear it bogs motor down but then you say nothing happen when you put it in gear with motor off but it rolls ?

 

Rear axle blew up it drives in 4wd the carrier shattered and the pin through the locker snapped needs rebuilt

 

Blew up the lunch box locker just hit junkyard and put regulars spiders back in ?

 

We will see just got a new job so probably going to do new gears locker and carrier
