Greetings all,
I have a 2017 Cherokee Latitude 2WD. I had the AC on during a long trip and halfway through I noticed the steam/vapor/mist coming out of the vents. I didn’t notice any coolant smell. The air was still coming out cold and the passenger side floor wasn’t wet. Coolant reservoir level is good.
Is it possible this could be anything other than a the Heater Core? It did rain a lot during the trip, so not sure if that could’ve played a part at all.

 

Rather sounds like condensation, with no odor. If the humidity was high, the cold air is capable of blowing fig.

The heater surely has coolant and I'd expect some smell if it was leaking..
