Default Oil on Plastic engine cover at cap filter spot.

Hey Guys...
First post besides intro.
I just bought her...13K 2015 Cherokee Trailhawk...loaded.
When I was looking her over. Everything looked fine for a car with 13k, except for the oil on the plastic cover where the cap for the oil filter was at.
Was this just an over zealous Carmax oil change tech or could this be something I need to have looked at before my 5 days are over?
I didn't notice oil anywhere else.

Peace.

Take a picture and do you mean the plastic engine cover has a little oil on it around the filler cap for the oil ?

As far as that plastic cover - are you talking about the engine shroud? Those usually just pop off or come off easily with just a screw or two. Take it off and see if you can see leaking anywhere. I wouldn't think you'd have any blow-by on a 2 year old motor.

Did a filter change on mine a while back. Being able to change it on top of the engine is great. But I don't quite remember if it screws on or what. Check for tightness.
