2015 Cherokee Limited w 2.4 liter engine. When the car sits for a couple of days, it will not crank when the run engine button is pushed. Dash lights up, but absolutely no sound from the engine.
After pushing the button about 10-15 times, it starts right up and runs fine. It will then start normally for the rest of the day. Battery is new. Key fob battery is new also.
Strange problem. Any ideas? Thanks.

 

I had the same issue - it was a faulty radio. Dealership took 2 days to evaluate and ultimately landed on the faulty radio - Dealership replaced the radio.
The downside for me, I purchased Navigation with the original radio and it does not transfer over to the new radio.

 

The radio can cause starting problems? Was it cured after the radio replacement?

 

if the radio is faulty it could keep a circuit open causing it to drain the battery.

you might have a parasitic draw in any electrical component that stays open after you turn off the vehicle. to find out what part is failing is a ***** to find but easy to fix.
