Hey All,

New to the forum and the Cherokee but not to Jeeps. I currently have a '14 JKU and have had an old CJ in the past. My wife's Subaru was about to die, we needed a replacement and got a good deal on a '15 Trailhawk in a 4 cyl. I have read a bunch about the 9 speed tranny being a turd but I am trying to be optimistic in thinking not every one is bad. We bought it in Pennsylvania over the holiday and drove it back to Colorado pulling a loaded 8' aluminum trailer without much of a problem except being under powered for towing up mountain passes. 2k on the odometer and no problems yet. Lets hope we dont need that warranty for a while.

Welcome. We just picked up our TH less than a week ago. Less than 24hrs old to us we had her off pavement and off road. Actually shocked some rangers that we able to climb and negotiate some of the obstacles. Didn't tell them this but that was all thanks to our experience on this trail with a built JK 2DR.

Anyways, vehicle drives like a dream on the highways and does great with light duty off pavement duties which is what it was bought for. Can't wait to go do more exploring.
