I have a very high pitched whine from near the rear axle. I mostly hear it when I am stopped so it isn't movement related. I am planning on taking it in to be looked at. Maybe this thread will be a help.

I've gotta say this. Metal. Sorry, no offense intended here but with all your posts with all your problems, why are you not unloading the vehicle? I certainly would be. I would take the loss (as I have a few times in the past) and either go with something else or another Cherokee. In all manufacturers, tho, you will find a few that get hit with a Lemon. You seem to be one. I don't know what the Lemon Law entails but Squeaky Wheel law sometimes work. A lot of letters to the right people. Good Luck.

And, I guess I should add this; I have two bikes which I use till close to the end of the year. My Cherokee sits a lot of the time right now with less than 2000kms on it. Beside the one small glitch it is running flawlessly. I can only hope it remains so.
