Anyone familiar with 2015 Cherokee Latitude Active Drive II? I have one and I am getting a high-pitch whine. The service mgr at the dealer says its a known problem with a water pump.
Can anyone verify this?
Has anyone found a solution?

Is the whine coming from the front or rear? I had a high pitched whine near the rear axle and took it into the dealer. He said it was the rear differential actuator motor and was normal.

 

It does seem to be coming from rear...so now I wonder if I should try another dealer and see if he verifies the actuator motor or the water pump. Thanx for the reply.
