I'm about ready to seal the deal on a Cherokee Limited with the following: V6, luxury group, and nav system. Nice cherry red pearl with black interior.
List price is 34,975 with destination. Best price I can get from a dealer is 32,990 here in central Connecticut. I've gone on Truecar, Carsdirect and Consumer Reports and they all say around 32,450. The dealer tells me he paid 32,990 and they won't sell it for less than their cost. So who is telling the truth?

 

my 2.4 TrailHawk is lacking the tech group? which consist of parking assist? i may have called that the wrong thing..
but other than that its loaded

you can always build one online.. or check a different dealership.
as far as price, a couple thousand more for the Hawk, and youll have LOCKERS, Skid Plates, etc. Lockers and skids come in handy during those unexpected moments.

Hard to say. The problem with True Car--which I used buying mine--is that you have to use a True Car dealer to get that price. If your dealer isn't lined up with them, then any on-line price (including Carsdirect and CR) is meaningless.

Also, a lot of on-line prices are based on national averages, NOT on local actual sales prices. TrueCar, to its credit, tends to show you what others in your zip code have paid for identical configurations.

Do you have other dealers in your area with whom you can shop? I've purchased two vehicles in the past by having the on-line price and options in my hand, and telling them if they can meet or beat, I'll sign on the spot. I didn't need to with TrueCar; I went to one of their dealerships and there were no questions on the price.
