Death Wobble or just wobble
I have some sort of vibration at 65+ MPH and higher but not at a specific speed. It comes and goes and can be at any speed above 65. I've had brakes and rotors replaced about 2 years ago (front) - rear brakes are still fine. But this shaking/vibration is crazy. The tires were rotated and balanced thinking this was the issue, but took a long trip a few days later and the problem is still there. I'm not thinking it might be this wobble thing. My axles were replaced under a recall or something early on but now my 2014 KL has 64K on it and frankly, this vibration has been a problem since day 1. Never had a vehicle do this. I like the Cherokee, but this issue is pathetic. Fixing it would enable me to keep the SUV but if not...adios and never looking at FCA again. Sorry for rant....can anyone tell me what the death wobble or wobble feels like and do you feel it in the steering wheel or somewhere else? I notice that my passenger seat back shakes when the problem is there...along with the rest of the vehicle. I just want it fixed and then enjoy the ride again!

This is new to me. Actually there was a FCA TSB or something that I took my KL in for. Like maybe 2014 or 2015. They called it the death wobble and replaced the front axles. So maybe the dealer called it the wrong name....

Death wobble is unmistakable. Here are examples.
a shimmy or shake is not even in the same category lol

WOW! Mine is similar but not as bad. If I hit a bump, sometimes it happens - but again, not as bad as these vids. Thanks a ton for sharing and educating me.

A bad front strut is a possibility. I'm pretty sure my front right has gone bad from my potholed roads.
One of the signs of true death wobble is an elevated heart rate and possible brown streaks in your underwear as the front end become violently uncontrollable and it becomes hard to stay in your lane. I've had it on an older Cherokee and it was caused by lots of slop in the steering components and a worn out stabilizer.
