Default Apple CarPlay?

I have a 2018 Cherokee latitude. I’ve seen thing saying that Apple CarPlay is available for it but I can’t seem to figure out how to enable it?

Anyone know now how to go about it?

i was “told” it was available for the 2016 Oveland as well. Went ahead and got it without CarPlay thinking I could add later.

Well, I’m ready.

There RE must be a good upgrade.

I havent found all the details yet but you can put a 19 head unit with CarPlay and android auto in 14 and up, not sure if any features don't work, but confirmed by one reviewer on this ebay post. Im waiting to see some forum posts from folks who do this, does it affect heated seats etc?

Default Looks like it came from Jeep

it “says” it’ll fit a 2016 and one would assume it can also allow control of all the other features. However, it also says no Sirius Radio.

Thats a non-starter for me.

I have the same vehicle, Uconnect is not recognizing/launching Carplay for iPhone 7. Dealer replaced the media hub still not launching carplay (2018 Latitude).

Have you received any answers or solved your issue?

No. My attempt at the USB solution failed. I’m pretty convinced that even replacing the head unit ($2000) won’t worn. Keep wants you to buy a new model. 😵
