Default AC and wipers

I have a 98 xj classic and when i accelerate the ac blows harder and the wipers speed up. What can cause this?

No idea. This forum is for modern Cherokees from this century. Try the question in one of the forums for older Cherokees.

Alternator is not putting out what it should at lower RPM's or your battery cables have a poor connection.

Yes, your alternator is probably getting weak and not putting out enough voltage at low rpms. I would pull it and have it checked. If you have a volt meter you can check it yourself at various rpms. You will probably find the voltage below 12 at low rpms
