Default 2022 Cherokee cannot turn off the "Driver Assist

We never turned this on. It just showed up one day and now I cannot turn off the "Driver Assist" crap on our 2022 Cherokee X. Gone through the owners manual. No joy. Stopped at the dealership. No joy. Anyone know of a way to make this stupid option go away?????????

On our Cherokee that turns the course control on and off. By going through the menus using the arrow keys The Driver Assist option shows it is turned off but it is not. The dash icon is still there and working.

unplug the battery and leave it unplugged for about 10 minutes so everything can reset.

also check the voltage of the battery while you're at it since some people have their cherokees go haywire when the battery voltage is low.

you can also try removing the fuse if you don't want to do the battery which is I think F65, but I recommend unplugging the battery as it will reset all the electronics.

if the driver assist still comes back on as soon as you plug in the battery then you can have an electrical or mechanical issue.

if it doesn't come back on, but for some reason you turn it on and off, but it stays on after you have turned it off then there's an issue with your system.

either way I would take it to the dealer and let them figure it out as it should still be under warranty.

Thank you! I will do the battery option in the morning. Hopefully that will solve the problem. If it stays on I will pull the fuse and head for the dealership.
