Does anyone know where the turbo silencer is located? I want to hear the whistle. My apologies, if this has been posted before. In previous vehicles I have owned in the past, it is located between the intake box and turbo.

 

What is a “turbo silencer”? Do you mean the bypass valve?

 

No, what car companies do is they put some type of material in the intake between the box and the turbo so you do not get the turbo whistle noise. I do not get any whistle from my turbo so I assumed it was the same setup. I went ahead and looked inside the tube between the box and the turbo and there was nothing inside. In previous cars that I have own, that is all it was so I thought it would be the same for Jeep. Not sure if they have it done some other way.
