Hi all, just bought my first jeep last week, got a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. In the first week i have noticed something very interesting. Yesterday i did a trip that when i tracked my trip on google maps, said it was 10.9 miles however when i got home my odometer had increased by 20 miles??? I had noticed higher than expected mileage since i got it so kept a closer eye on it, so was wondering if anyone has seen this problem or have any suggestions?

I am going to do more tests and highway 10 mile tests to ensure it was as well as reset trip meter and go for a drive today and update further, just wanted to see if anyone else has encountered something similar?

It has standard Firestone Destination tyres on it

Thank you for posting, I'll keep an eye on it in my new Trailhawk. Although I respect Google maps in general I'm not sure their calculations are going to address actual driving conditions. Still, something for me to look at.

 

Google is not accurate. I worked for HERE and Google was proven not accurate along with taking me personally the wrong way down a one way street in San Juan.....
