Default 2017 Cherokee Mirror Power Access

New to the forum! First post! We just purchased a 2017 Cherokee Limited with lots of options, including S/XM and Nav. I want to tap into the mirror power for my radar detector installation. There's a cover over the electronics at the top of the windshield that I want to get into but I'm not sure how to pop/pry it off without ruining the cover. There are no exposed connectors or wires that I can see between the box and the mirror. Soooo...
1. How do I get the cover off?
2. Is there another source near the mirror to tap power from?
Thanks...Goffer

your probably better off asking this question in the KL technical discussion area of the forum. Most of this forum is dedicated to the beloved 84-01 Cherokee (XJ). You will get more KL owners looking at your question there.

cheers.
