Default 2015 Cherokee adaptive cruise safety concerns

I've had numerous occasions where I'm driving along with adaptive cruise engaged and my Jeep will sense a perceived threat that really isn't there and will apply the breaks causing me to about %$$% myself. I'm afraid to use it now.

It happens when the car in front of you takes an exit..possibly if the exit is at a certain angle??? Then, one time I was driving nest to a semi and I don't know if the semi slowed down or what, but my vehicle braked almost causing someone to hit me from behind.

Is anyone else having these issues with their adaptive cruise?
