2014 Jeep Cherokee wont go over 40 mph
My daughter's 2014 Jeep Cherokee which has 154,000 miles on it won't go over 40 mph and then accelerates at times for no reason. The check engine light goes on and there are 2 codes that were displaying.
Error codes P0019 #0710 Crankshaft Position Camshaft Position Correlation Bank 2 Sensor B
Also
P000C #0710
A Camshaft position slow Response Bank 2
Looking to see if anyone else had this problem and what it cost to fix.
Thanks
Steve

You didn't mention which engine. I found this service bulletin for the 3,6l in the Grand Cherokees. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...37053-9999.pdf
It is a V6 3.2 Liter

did you fix this? how and what did you do?
to me it sounds like the crankshaft positioning sensor and the codes pretty much reflect that. I've also had it happen to my in other dodge/Chrysler cars.
basically if the crankshaft positioning sensor goes bad, you'll get your check engine light. the car will still run and speed up normally until you get somewhere between 30 and 40 mph and it won't go any faster than that. if you're on the highway and it happens basically the car will slow down as it won't speed up.
I haven't had it happen in my jeeps, but I have had it on my neon both on the street and highway. I usually carry a cheap code scanner so when it does happen I just erase the codes and the car goes back to working properly just enough for me to get home. I just went and bought one at autozone since they give lifetime warranty on it. the first time it happened was around 2012 which only lasted a few months before it happened again. again lifetime warranty since they don't know how long the electrical part will work. replaced it after I took it back and that one lasted me until 2020. took it off and took it to auto zone to exchange it and I've hadn't had to change it since.
in my neon it only takes me 10 minutes to take it off and reinstall it. I haven't had to do it on any of the jeeps yet.

they are around $40 for a jeep and the neon now. I don't remember paying that much back then I it was more around $20, but again you get the lifetime warranty so it will be only once. it might be cheaper if you look around.
also I don't know if you have tried to do the repair that somebody else put the service bulletin. This might be the first repair you want to do especially since the part is cheaper. you can go wrong with trying to do the $10 repair first I put the link of the ebay auction I found when searching for the part number. Just verify that the part number is the same one for your jeep.
