2014/2015 Forum?
Hi all.
New to the Jeep scene but not to motoring in general.
I'm 54 and owned over 65 vehicles.
I work at a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram dealer and just purchased a new 2015 Cherokee Sport.
I actually LIKE the new styling and think it looks sleek and modern.
The front end reminds me of the Isuzu VEHICROSS that Isuzu made a few years ago and I always liked the looks of that vehicle.
I like the old boxy Jeep style too but if we stayed with the model "T" life would be pretty boring.
The 2015 rides nice and the 9 speed tranny shifts smooth. The 2.4 is pretty peppy and very quick off the line.
I think the new TRAILHAWK looks awesome but it's out of my price range for now. (My heart is set on a New Challenger in the future anyway.)
I've driven the 2014 AND the new 2015 Cherokees and my 2015 is faster and shifts smoother than the 2014's I've driven. The 2014's shifted slower and it felt sluggish compared to my 2015.
Chrysler must have updated the 2015 or "flashed" the tranny or something because it feels like a different vehicle yet it's the same motor and trans as the 14??
I think the new interiors look great with a quality look and feel to them, much of the material is soft to the touch instead of hard plastic.
I found a great deal on some Trailhawk 17" wheels for $350.00 and replaced the basic (very) steel wheels the Sport comes standard with.
Anyway was wondering why there wasn't a new forum dedicated to the new modern Cherokee?? Like the styling or not it's still a Jeep and the latest rendition of the Cherokee.
