First time poster here. I have a technical question I need some help with. I'm in the insisting stages of a head gasket replacement on my wife's 2017 2.4 Cherokee. It's been..... stressful. But anyways. My main question is concerns timing the camshaft an crankshaft. I followed the procedures in the manual. Aligned the crankshaft pulley. Aligned the camshaft sprocket to 90 degrees from the cylinder head. Every looks good, then I put the tensioner arm on and release the tensioner spring, and the sprocket gets pulled back a couple of degrees from 90(see attached picture). This seems kind of unavoidable but I'm not sure. After I got everything buttoned up I cranked through a few rotations by had to try to feel for valve contact. Did feelnaything, but I did hear a kind of pop noise on the first few rotations wich went away, accompanied by aoil sleeping sound, wich I'm guessing is from oil being primed into the VVAA. Does this all sound/look right? Thanks in advance. Slightly less than 90 degrees Crankshaft alignmen
