Hello, I just joined this forum. I purchased a 96 XJ for my grandson. This jeep will be his daily driver while he finishes high school and will stay with him while he joins the service.. Goal for the new jeep is to kind of keep it as a low key "sleeper", but bad a$$ at the same time. This is the 3rd XJ we have had in the family, my mother and I previously owned year 2000 XJs. Here jeep is still in the family, as a nephew still has it in Montana.

I am active on a couple other forums, dieselplace.com, bdoutdoors.com and thehulltruth.com I have the same username on those forums.

I have a GMC Duramax that I have done a lot of work to, as well as a 26' saltwater fishing boat. I do a lot of saltwater fishing here in SoCal and Baja. I am also a hunter.

I am a former Marine, as well as just about all my neighbors here in Yucca Valley (close to 29-Palms). There are a lot of Jeeps here in the desert, with the close access we have to the desert and forest here in SoCal.
