Default XJ from Montreal

Hello

I got the XJ bug the funny way, I was surfing the net while on vacation in the philippines, looking at RC trucks and found a website in europe that sells scale model XJ's, I liked the way it looked so I bought some old back issues of Jp magazines to read on the 13 hour flight back to montreal and by the time I landed I knew I had to have one, so after 3 weeks of looking in the papers and craigslist and kijiji, and personally looking at 10 different xj's ( a lot were rusted to hell, we still used lots of salt here in the winter) I finally found one, 2001 Sport, with the limited slip rear diff. so far the only problems I've had is the common no bus cluster problem, and a pinhole leak on the coolant hard pipe feeding the heater core.

On the "to do list" find a cheap canadian distributor for black rock wheels, decide between 30x9.50 or 31x10.50 Bfgoodrich KM2's. would anyone know if a 2 inch lift would be enough to clear the 31's? No serious off roading planned, only deep snowstorms

welcome to the forum! my brother lives in St. Catherines (ik not real close to you but hey its in Canada, eh?)

a 2" lift would look good with either 30's or 31's, but you will see more rubbing and may have to do a little fender trimming with 31's, i would probably go with the 30x9.5's
