What would you do to your new Cherokee?
Hey guys I am getting my very first Jeep Cherokee this upcoming Friday, its a 1989 Cherokee Laredo 4.0l 6cyl. I'm super excited to be part of this community and hoping I will learn a lot. Anyways If you got a brand spankin new Cherokee what would you upgrade on it first?

Before upgrading I'd give it a thorough going over. Tune up, new fluids, brake inspection, etc. Once you are sure it's mechanically sound, drive it for a while and do research on what you feel needs upgrading first. There are many "top 10" lists about what should be the essential upgrades found online.
Look at Cruisers Renix tips found here https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/cr...x-tips-153657/
You have the vacum dissconect front axle if I'm not mistaken, look into that as well.

If I could go back to when I got my 89, I would have slapped a new motor in it... Mine has been a POS since day one, and I should have spent more than $500. you get what you pay for I guess.
