Hey guys. I stumbled on to this forum because I have recently began searching for a Cherokee Classic. We have a 2006 Grand Cherokee and I actually love it. The classic has always been a personal love of mine, but my wife did not like the boxy style so we met in the middle on a Grand. I am searching to replace my current vehicle with a Classic. It will be a daily driver so I am not looking for a play toy. I plan on getting something in the next two weeks. I have been searching Craigslist and have found several things from $1600 to $4000, all within my price range, and I am paying cash so I should have some negotiation power. What I would like to know though, is what I should be looking for or listening for when I start test driving them. I want to make sure whatever I get will be in good shape, because it could take 6 to 12 months before I can start putting any cash into it. Thanks guys for your help and advice.

Ken, heres a link to a local club you can also look into. Great group of guys that try to get together at least once a month for a trail ride.

Thanks Winston... I will check it out. I hope to be getting rid of my F-150 next weekend and picking up a new (used) Cherokee classic. If you guys here in TN know anyone selling one for a good deal let me know.
