South Jersey Here...
Hello yall,
I joined the site alittle while ago so I guess its time to say "Hello". Let me start by saying Im not a cherokee owner...I am in the family wheeling in a 88 MJ. I know, I know.... but I have to say the forums and write-ups on this site are awesome.!!!! Great work to the Admin.!!!
About me; I live in Carneys Point, NJ. Its basicly at the base of the Del. Mem. Bridge in South Jersey. Im a member of the MISFITS4X4.NET. Its a cool lil 4x4 wheeling club in SJ with members from all over nj,pa,de and md...I think. We lease about over 100 arces of south jersey swamp land. We mostly have mud truck that varey in all sizes from modded suzuki sammuri s to huge modded jeeps with 72'' tractor tires. There are mud pits that very in size to 2 small ponds/lake to huge ruts, a jeep course that grows in size every year that stock rigs can enjoy all day!!! We can camp, wheel, fish, and chill all day long...!!! I have never been to rausch creek yet, but someday I will make it..I tow my rig with my lil 4cyl ranger so anything long distances...can be a hairy. Living very close to our play ground really helps me alot to enjoy wheeling.
My Rig; I found my 88 MJ on craigslist and grabbed it for a grand. The best thing is its already set up for just about anything.!! The owners before me set her up with around 4.5 inch lift, 33s, somewhat of a snorkel setup, prerunner spare tire holder, roll bar w/ lights, locked rear(welded spider gears I think). Its a 4.0, 5 speed BA-10/5. Tranny is old but I only wheel in 1st or 2nd geer while in 4 low.(works for me in mud and ops course) This rig can crawl just about anywhere...maybe not but Im still tickled pink everywhere I go. LOL Again, I would like to say that the tech and fab fourms are great with info and ideas for my future projects to come... Plus the rig setups from other members give me great ideas and a piece of mind of what others are running...Great Site.!!
Sorry for no pics...Im working on personal issues im having with photobucket...mostly me having ADD then....hey look a chicken.!!!! LOL Hopefully someday I will grant wishes with pics or unless I meet some of yall then you can see my rig...sound good?
Looking forward on chatting with yall or even wheeling someday..So go out, get muddy and have fun yall.!!!!!!
