Hey guys. Been reading this forum for quite some time now while saving up for my Cherokee. Finally joined because ill be purchasing it within 2-4 weeks depending on where I can find one that suits me. Itll be anywhere from a 92-00 4x4. Already planning my mods out so i can start right when I get her. Just had a few questions about exhaust systems and pricing so I can budget accordingly (no experience when it comes to exhaust). Been looking around the posts and came across this....

Does this come with all I need? With zero welding experience Im thinking ill have it done at the shop since Id rather not clamp it. Would love to know how much yall think it would cost to weld everything up assuming I have all the parts. And Ive read mixed opinions on the flowmaster 40 and 44 as to which ones louder.

Also Ive also strongly been considering the super 10 depending on how loud the experts on CF say it is haha.

So could I pair this...

with one of these?

Thanks again guys, as you can tell from the long post Im too excited to get this going and build it up as best I can.

also any suggestions on inexpensive ways to add to a really throaty/truck-like sound would be great just so i can get the best idea of what to do.

so in theory i could put the whole thing on myself with clamps and it would sound the same?

You can save some money by doing it yourself with clamps. But if you had a shop do it, you'd probably get a better job that's tucked up nice and tight. And you wouldn't have any leaks or rattles to worry about. IMO

I'd just remove the old muffler and clamp in a glasspack. Simple, dirt cheap, and sounds good. Oh, and welcome!

Forgot to say thanks in advance to everyone giving me tips! Still trying to get the forum down and cant quote multiple people in one reply so ill just do it all here for this now till i figure it out (rookie yes i know)...

xjboy14 - ya was planning on just going up to the cat with the tailpipe and muffler because anything past that (removing cat etc.) goes beyond my knowledge of doing a good job with it.

bendxjman - looked into that and some people claim the cherry bomb sounds a little "ricey"...just what ive heard obviously not putting down your opinion since i have no clue aside from youtube videos!

91 limited owner - thanks for the welcome! nothing against the classic look (two out of my three buddies who have cherokees have pre 92's) but id wind up wanting to tear off the running boards and having the straight color.

That is true, Mainly because they fade out.
