Hey guys, My name is tyler,. Im from southeast Missouri. I do not have an XJ yet, but will be purchasing one within the week. IM so glad that i recently got out of my JK. I loved it. But i had dumped thousands of dollars in it, and felt like i was so far from where i waned to be. Anyway, im now on a new kick of promoting cheaper offroading and builds. The mindset is that you have to spend a ton of money to be able to be happy with a rig and its capabilities. NOT TRUE. (the jk has has tainted the beauty of jeeps and offroading in my opinion) Anyway, i cant wait to begin my build and sharing my time on here as opposed to the JK sites.

Yea me and my buddies with JKs are always going round on this. The same part for a JK is usually almost double in cost. Same amount of metal, same amount of time, double the price Haha. For the cost of a new Rubicon you could build a really really nice and better performing XJ. Welcome to Cherokee Forum!

Exact reason I'm back in an XJ, wranglers are just WAY to trendy & that means huge dollars to build them.

Welcome & get some Picts of the new rig & start a build thread.

Im actually about 2 our from there, but i used to live a lot closer. The SEMO area is sort of dry of passionate jeepers. We recently started a local group that has recently taken off, but it took us a year to get there.

Out of our 430 members there are only maybe 10 xjs. It sucks really. I am on the move to kind of change the persona of the group to being more all jeep friendly, not just wranglers.
