Hi Guy's..this is my 1st time...If I am doing something wrong...please let me know..THX ...I have a 1990 Jeep Cherokee 2Dr Limited with 125,000 miles. Recently, the jeep did not crank the engine as fast as it once did (normaly takes 2.5 -3 sec to start). Please note, this condition only occurs after a 12 hour or more soak. I can start the Jeep any time during the day & it cranks faster ????? I initally thought it was the Battery...replace it under the warranty...cleaned & checked the cables....taped an area where the insulation pulled away.....Note same condition occurs ! Now that it is COLD, I use a Jeep recommended procedure for starting in the extreame cold...that is hold the excellerator pedal to the floor & crank the engine till it starts.....Its starts quicker..however...still not a fast crank....Is it a WORN Starter Motor / Restive Cables/Poor Ground .
